NVQ qualifications
"Occupational

The standards for each
element and unit of every NVQ has been defined and set out by
the awarding bodies in conjunction with the QCA. They
range from applying skills, competence and knowledge for routine
or predictable activities, to demonstrating a wider range of more
complex or often unpredictable activities where personnel autonomy
and responsibility for actions can involve and include others.
"Assessments"
Assessment visits are
normally arranged to take place in the candidates regular place
of work, they can vary in quantity and frequency depending upon
the NVQ chosen, the number of units needed to be completed and
of course on the skills and aptitude of the candidate themselves.
The Assessor would arrange these visits in advance and develop
a realistic plan with the candidate and their employer.
The candidates themselves
are required to : Be trained and technically
competent in their chosen units.
Participate with the assessor in developing and delivering
assessment plans.
Gather and present relevant evidence of their knowledge, understanding
and competence.
Show that they can do all the things required to achive the qualification
meeting all the standards set out.
Don't worry we are here to help and can explain the processes
involved and show how NVQ's can help both the candidate and their
employer.
